Course Description

Some societies rely on a solar calendar. Some rely on a lunar calendar. We Jews rely on both. Thus creating a fascinating mix. This session will study this balance both in an historical context and through a theological lens.

About Rabbi Michael Pollak
Rabbi Michael Pollak is Head of Professional Studies at LSJS Michael is a UJIA Fellow, graduate of Hevron Yeshiva in Jerusalem and studied Philosophy at the LSE. he has held a series of high-profile communal positions. He is an educational consultant for the UJIA Jewish Life Education Centre.
